DesiCart: the e-commerce platform we build stores on

DesiCart is our own e-commerce platform. We install it on each client's server and brand it as their store, with a trilingual storefront, local and international payments and a complete admin.

Problem

Many stores want their own branded shop on their own server, with Arabic or Urdu, local payment methods and no per-sale platform fee.

Solution

A white-label platform: one codebase with storefront, checkout, payments and admin, installed per client and branded through theme settings.

Result

A new store starts from a tested foundation with payments, languages and admin already working; only the brand and catalogue change.

How it started

DesiCart began as an inherited prototype: a capable admin, but a storefront running on sample data. We audited it, fixed the security gaps and connected every page to real data, then kept building until it became the platform we now install for stores.

A storefront in three languages

Shoppers can browse in English, Arabic or Urdu. Arabic and Urdu run right to left across the whole journey: product pages, variations, brands, categories, offers, cart, checkout, order tracking and customer accounts with saved addresses, a wishlist and reviews.

Payments for the Gulf and beyond

  • Cards through Stripe, with 3-D Secure, Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • PayPal
  • Cash on delivery
  • Bank transfer, confirmed by the team once the shopper uploads proof of payment

Whatever the browser shows, the server decides what is charged. Stock is held for the order while it is placed, which stops two people buying the same final item. If an item sells out after an online payment, the payment is refunded automatically.

An admin for the whole business

Products and variations, attributes, categories, brands, coupons, orders, refunds and returns, reviews, CMS pages, blog, menus, banners, currencies and languages are all managed from the admin. Staff have roles and permissions, every change is logged, and sales reports export to PDF. Theme settings handle the white-label branding for each store.

Marketing tools with guardrails

DesiCart includes an AI ad generator and an ad "autopilot" built on the Anthropic Claude API, with guardrails, plus Facebook ad insights and a view of competitors' ads.

Security

Admin logins use two-factor authentication, lock out after repeated failures and protect sessions against takeover.
